All About Dance Company
Youth Dance Company
Our dance company was created to nurture enthusiastic and passionate students who love to dance and perform. Our focus is always on the journey and progress our dancers make, rather than on the awards they win. All levels of company attend at least two dance competitions each year as well as perform at non-competitive events. They also attend dance workshops and master classes when possible. The youth dance company is open to dancers kindergarten through 12th grade for the 2025-2026 school year. We are looking for dancers who are focused, committed, kind to others, and interested in growing as performers and dance artists. All dancers who exemplify our code of conduct are accepted; however, at our discretion, dancers will be placed into performing groups based on technique, performance quality, and growth. Dancers should have at least one year of prior dance experience in ballet, tap, and jazz. If a dancer does not have prior experience in one or more of these styles, enrollment in those styles is required during our 5-week Summer Class Session. In addition to company rehearsals, dance company members are required to take weekly classes in ballet, tap, and jazz during the 2025-2026 school year. |
Honors Dance Ensemble
The Honors Dance Ensemble is an additional performing opportunity for our high school age dancers. In this group, students focus on the artistic process of dance, both as performers and as choreographers. The Honors Dance Ensemble not only provides opportunities for our older dancers to grow as technicians, artists, and collaborative choreographers, it also helps them earn the necessary points to be inducted as a member of our chapter of the National Honors Society for Dance Arts. Honors Dance Ensemble members must:
